Behind that figure are millions of decisions, made in control rooms, onsite and in planning meetings: the call to carry on or stop the show, the briefing before doors open, the response to changes to plan, adapting to different situations.
Some of those decisions make an event. Some break it. Some hurt people.
That is why we need to make better decisions to save lives, money and your reputation, and why Bearing exists.
We build situational judgement capability for people and organisations running complex live event and venue operations, developed and honed through our training programmes. It rests on two frameworks built from original doctoral research into how people actually decide under pressure. MBED (the Making Better Event Decisions Framework) structures the decision itself. LSJF (the Live Situational Judgement Framework) helps a team read a live situation as it develops.

Show-Safe: Event and Security Operations Control
Developed with Halo Solutions and supported by the Pink Bows Foundation and UK Crowd Management Association, Show-Safe is a structured suite of courses designed to develop your situationally driven decision-making and effective management of security and onsite operations control for live events. From the one-day Introduction through to management, joint agency operations and global strategic leadership courses, Show-Safe builds the competency that safety-critical environments demand.

MBED and LSJF are Bearing's own proprietary frameworks. They have been taught at scale, tested in live delivery, and evidenced through independent participant feedback.
